Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia – 29 November 2006 – Puteri Hotels Sdn. Bhd. and BonusKad Loyalty Sdn. Bhd. signed an agreement earlier today which give Bonuslink members the opportunity to collect Bonuslink points when they stay at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru, The Selesa Hotel Pasir Gudang, Selesa Hotel Johor Bahru, Selesa Beach Resort Port Dickson and also when they hold events at the brand-new Persada Johor International Convention Centre.
The exciting launch program will take place from 1 December 2006 to 28 February 2007 where Bonuslink members will collect EXTRA points for:
- HOTELS STAYS / F&B CONSUMPTION - 5X Bonuslink Points for hotel stays and F&B spending at the Puteri Hotel properties.
- EVENTS - Additional 10,000 Bonuslink Points for organizing events, parties, weddings, conventions, and exhibitions (minimum RM4,000 event value) at the hotels and Persada Johor International Convention Centre.
From 1 March 2007 onwards, Bonuslink members will collect RM1 =1 point for every Ringgit of room rate paid and RM2 =1 point for events, parties, weddings, conferences and exhibitions.
This partnership begins 1 December 2006, making Puteri Hotels Sdn. Bhd. one of the two hotel groups in Malaysia and the only one in the south to be in the Bonuslink programme.

Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia – 18 September 2006 – For the first time in Johor Bahru, the Festival Cubano made its debut at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru from 18 – 20 September 2006. Organised in conjunction with the Trinidad Group of Companies, the Festival Cubano brings together the different products, cultures and traditions of Cuba with the purpose of creating an awareness of the Cuban culture, its music, food and lifestyle.
The three days event at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru featured:-
- Band “Sazon” which consists of seven professional musicians and dancers who provides musical entertainment in Latin rhythms such as Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha, Bachatas, Trimba and other kinds of Latin American and Caribbean music.
- Chef Erasmo Brito Lima from Havana, Cuba who has cooked for Heads of States, Dignitaries and International Food Festivals organized by the Cuban Government.
Featured in the Buffet at the Festival Cubano were Cuban canapés and Tapas for starters, such as Cream Cheese with White Onion, Coriander and Salt, Sardine Paste with Red Peppers and Small Onions, Turkey ham with Pineapple Rolls, Tomato and Cheese Paste with Anchovies and
Garlic and liberal servings of Bread with Garlic, Virgin Oil and Tomatoes.
Appetizers included Stuffed Pineapple Surprise, Caribbean Salad, Jaguay Oranges whilst the Hot Dishes featured Paella, Cuban Rice, Lamb Chilindren, Steak-style Bella Cubana, Cuban-style Fish, Creole Prawns,
Chicken a’la Casera, Cuban-style Vegetables and Grilled Skewers.
Even the desserts are exotic featuring name such as Bomb fruit, Rice Milk, Cuban Cheesecakes, Fruit Flan, Diplomat Pudding and Ice-cream Sandwiches.
- Master Cigar Roller, Adonis Velazco Ramos, who hails from Havana’s best and most important factory, El Laguito, home to the world famous Cohiba cigars. Watch him in action while he rolls his specialty - Churchill (Julieta), Robusto and Double Corono cigars.

Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia – 18 September 2006 – In replacement of Clark Hatch, The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru has re-launched its own fitness centre by the name of Pacific Fitness Club. 50 potential members, many of whom were former Clark Hatch members were present at the launch held last Friday, 15 September 2006 to see the newly-upgraded fitness club.
Varied memberships are available with the yearly membership priced at RM2,000 for the principal and RM600 for spouse; quarterly membership priced at RM600 for the principal and RM200 for the spouse; RM200 and for monthly membership at RM250 for the principal and RM100 for the spouse.
The membership accords privileges such as food & beverage discounts at the hotel and at the brand-new Swiss Edes Spa on the 4th floor, with usage of the facilities such as a state of the art Gymnasium, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steam Baths, a Yoga or Dance Studio, Tennis and Squash Courts.
Ismalinda Ishak, the Pacific Fitness’ Club Manager, will be responsible for taking care of the members by organizing periodic activities and get-togethers. A Tennis Pro with a strong background in fitness training, she will be responsible for tailoring fitness programmes for the members.
“We are limiting the numbers to our membership as we intend to keep it exclusive, with programmes to draw members closer together in order to ensure a sense of belonging and prestige,” said John Roozemond, the Managing Director during the launching.
From the launch period till the end of September, the facilities at the Pacific Fitness Club will be opened up for free use to all potential members for them to try out before deciding to join the membership.
